The Stormwater Experts

We carry out research!

We are always actively involved in numerous national and international research projects in the field of urban water management.

By combining research (the proportion of R & D projects amounted in recent years an average of 30%!) with practical engineering projects, we have a unique theoretical and applied know-how which makes us a valuable partner for academic research institutions.

Some of ours research projects are:

  • KURAS: Concepts for Urban Rain and Waste Water Management (BMBF-INIS, 2013-16)

  • TRUST: Transitions to the Urban Water Services of Tomorrow (7. EU-Framework Program, 2011-14)
  • SWITCH: Sustainable Water Management in the City of the Future (6. EU-Framework Program, 2006-2011)

  • Daywater: Adaptive Decision Support System for Stormwater Source Control (5. EU-Framework Program, 2002-2005)

  • NORIS: “No Rain in Sewers”, EU-Interreg-IIIb North Sea Region Project, in cooperation with the city of Hanover

  • Urban Water Cycle: EU-Interreg-IIIb North Sea Region Project in Cooperation with the City of Hamburg

For these projects, where we collaborated with our colleagues from various renowned research institutes including (UNESCO-IHE, TU Hamburg, TU Berlin, ENPC Paris, Danish Hydraulic Institute, HR Wallingford, etc.), our expertise in science and technology was highly regarded for an integrated and sustainable water management approach.

We have extensive experience in the implementation and management of research projects. If you require a partner for R & D projects or need assistance in the formulation of proposals, we would be glad to hear from you.
