Planning of Stormwater Treatment

The engineering company Prof. Dr. Sieker mbH has more than 20 years of extensive experience in the development, planning and operation of both decentralized as well as centralized stormwater treatment systems.
Examples are:

  • Swale-trench-systems

Swale-trench systems have been used for over 20 years in Berlin and also planned and studied. They are incorporated in construction plannings and urban drainage master planning for decentralized stormwater management and treatment. Thus, the water balance can be positively influenced towards decreased runoff.

  • INNODRAIN

INNODRAIN provides the ability to manage stormwater especially in narrow street spaces locally, to treat and throttle the outflow or completely retain it, similarly to the swale-trench system . This system can be applied e.g. in small street spaces and at the same time serve as a traffic calming.

  • INNOLET

INNOLET is a filtration system for rainfall runoff from streets. It can be installed as a retrofit system in existing gulies without additional construction costs. We provide two different types for dry and for wet gullies. INNOLET enables the selective treatment of stormwater runoff coming from polluted surfaces without having to handle the entire flow.

Soil filter for rainwater treatment can be designed near-natural. This not only looks good and fits into the landscape environment, but is also usually cheaper. This end-of-pipe solution is available for catchments, where all runoffs are in need of treatment.

The measures and their effects can be planned and demonstrated individually or at the catchment level. This is preferably done with our pollution load model STORM.  Thus, the pollution loads can be calculated and charged by entering efficiencies the impact of the measures. They can be optimally selected and combined for the location.

If necessary, measures to achieve target values for specific parameters can be compiled. We will be happy to advise you!
