Rainwater Harvesting

Accumulation and deposition of stormwater for on-site reuse, rather than allowing it to run off, is usually done by collecting rain from roofs into cisterns and reusing it via pumps. Rainwater harvesting systems can range in complexity, from systems that can be installed with minimal setups, to automated systems that require advanced installations. Systems are ideally sized to meet the water demand (irrigation, toilet flushing…). The possible savings in drinking water are up to 30 liters per inhabitant per day, with a large potential of applications in the commercial sectors.
